"Understanding the person behind the behavior."
I'm Dr. Jeannine Gohman, a clinical psychologist and author. For decades, my work has been guided by a simple but powerful idea: behavior has meaning. Whether we are trying to understand a child, ourselves, or someone we love, lasting change begins with curiosity about what is happening beneath the surface.
My work draws from attachment theory, developmental and psychodynamic psychology, and years of clinical experience helping people understand themselves and one another more deeply.
Relationships are where growth begins.
Every behavior has a meaning and every person has a story.
Understanding opens the door to change.
Insight helps us respond with greater clarity rather than fear.
